This song, situated in the middle of the recording, is about a near-drowning experience I had as a child in the English Channel. 10 years old, with Canadian indoor pool swimming lessons under my trunks, I enthusiastically rushed into the salt water. Caught in an undertow, I was helpless. I was in trouble and underwater for what seemed like forever. At some point, I felt an overwhelming sense of calm and peace. The voices here are a memory of assurance, of safety, of a pleasant journey from this world to the next one.

My near-lifeless fishy limbs were washed eventually onto the barnacle-covered pier where I was rescued.
